The good days have come for Andhra Pradesh right after the NDA alliance came into power. The state which was suffering from YCP’s rule over the last five years, is now getting ready to witness enormous development.

In the union budget introduced today, Finance Minister Nirlama Sitharaman announced special financial support for Andhra Pradesh.

She announced that Rs. 15000 crores would be given for the development of the capital city, Amaravati. She added that additional funds will be released as per the needs in the coming years.

Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the central government would fully help the state government in the early completion of the Polavaram Project, which is a lifeline for farmers in Andhra Pradesh.

To promote industrial development, funds will be provided for essential infrastructure such as water, power, railways and roads.

Special funds will be given for the development of the Koppparthi area in the Hyderabad-Bengaluru industrial corridor and the Orvakallu area in the Vishakapatnam-Chennai industrial corridor.

Nirmala Sitharaman also stated that special funds will be released for the backwards areas of Rayalaseema, Uttharandhra and Prakasham districts in Andhra Pradesh.
