The police have been demanding custody of Vallabhaneni Vamsi as he has been mostly silent during interrogation. The police said they needed more time for questioning and requested for 10-day custody. The Court however gave three day custody.

Now that the custody petition has been struck down, the bail petition is pending before the Court. The prosecutor argued that the police have collected quite a few proofs indicating the involvement of Vamsi in Satyavardhan kidnap case. He said that giving Vallabhaneni Vamsi bail would lead to tampering of evidence.
On the other hand, Vamsi’s lawyers are arguing that Vamsi be given bail on health grounds. They also argued that since he has been in remand twice, bail must be given.
The Court will hear both parties on Wednesday and take a decision. It has to be noted that Vamsi was presented virtually before the court and his remand has been extended to March 25.
The plea on bail will be decided tomorrow.
