Andhra Pradesh Unit of BJP is likely to get a New President Very soon. There are rumors that BJP high command wants someone from Anti-TDP group to become one but Venkaiah Naidu is stopping that until now. With Venkaiah becoming the Vice-President, the reins of AP-BJP will go to another leader.

The next President of AP-BJP will give any indication about how BJP wants to go about in 2019 elections. If someone from anti-TDP coterie is appointed, it will then complicate the delicate ties between TDP and BJP. YSR Congress is already sending signals for a possible alliance with BJP.
On the other side, there is a discussion within the BJP about this. While anti-TDP faction is enjoying this, the others are worried about sending wrong signals to a trusted partner and trying to patch up with a party with Corruption marks all over.
They are of the opinion that people will not digest BJP joining hands with such parties and that impact will be felt through out the nation. On the other side, the current BJP President, Haribabu may be inducted into the Union Cabinet in Venkaiah Naidu’s Place.
