YSRCP leader and ex minister Vidadala Rajani and IPS officer Palle Joshua are under the ACB radar.
They are alleged to have coerced the owners of Sri Lakshmibalaji stone crushers in Palnadu district’s Yedlapadu. Rajani and Joshua are said to have taken Rs 2.20 crore from them.
The ACB is now getting ready to file a case on them. To file a case on Joshua as per Prevention of Corruption Act Section 17A, the ACB has taken permission from CS. It has also written a letter to the Governor for permission to take action on Rajani. Right now, the issue is pending here and it might be a day or two before ACB takes action.
The Vigilance and Enforcement Department has submitted a report to the government in the case. They found that Rajani and Joshua demanded Rs 5 crore and got Rs 2.20 crore from Sri Lakshmibalaji stone crushers’ owners. While Rs 2 crore went to Rajani, Rs 10 lakh went to Joshua and another Rs 10 lakh went to her PA.
Based on the report, government directed ACB to take action. The ACB officials are in the process of gathering proofs to go ahead with the case.
