Vidadala Rajini Approaches Human Rights Against ABN

YSRCP ex minister Vidadala Rajini submitted a request to National Human Rights Commission against ABN Andhrajyothy. She mentioned that the media organization had written derogatory news about her and YSRCP women leaders.

Rajini had requested that sexually abusive and gender-based news on ABN Andhrajyothy and other social media channels about her and other women be stopped immediately.

The ex minister wrote saying that ABN Andhrajyothy was involved in politically motivated campaigning against her and some women. The letter sent out on YSRCP’s letterhead, was sent to various media organisations.

Rajini alleged that ever since TDP-led NDA government came to power, sexually colored posts were being circulated on anonymous social media handles targeting her, ex minister Roja and the daughters and wife of ex CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

These include memes, vulgar insinuations and questions like ‘Are these women sex workers?’ alongside their pictures, she wrote. She further went on to say that the comments were triggered following a particular ABN Andhrajyothy panel discussion.




Rajini wrote they specifically mentioned the names of Rajini and Roja and the panelist asked – What are Roja and Rajini doing in their guest houses constructed in Amaravati. Even Jagan lived there amidst huge barricades. What was he doing? What was his wife doing? What were the women ministers doing for five years? Now they are trying to blame public for everything.
