Tamil hero Vijay has made a big announcement today as he has officially publicized his political party ‘Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam’ today, much to the delight of his fans and supporters.
This announcement comes two months before the Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha elections. But it has been confirmed that Vijay’s new party won’t contest in the Lok Sabha elections.
This newly announced party will be active in Tamil Nadu politics but won’t contest in the coming Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu. This party is aimed at having a say in the coming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu which are to be held in 2026.
Vijay’s party will actively prepare the stage for the coming assembly elections and the hero himself will be actively involved with the campaigning process. He has been committing philanthropic projects in the rural parts of Tamil Nadu for the last few days.
Interestingly, Rajinikanth who announced his party many months ago has announced that he will not be active in politics. Another star, Kamal Haasan is active in politics though. Vijay is the new entry to the list of film star-politicians in Tamil Nadu.
