Vijay Deverakonda Gives Clarity

The contentious issue right now is the issue of ‘rowdy’ actor Vijay Deverakonda making comments on girijanulu or tribals that hurt their sentiments. With the tribal associations demanding unconditional apology and action, looks like Vijay Devarakonda is in a fix.

In fact, Tribal Lawyer Association president Kishan Raj Chauhan has complained to the police against the actor. Kishan Raj said in the complaint that Vijay Deverakonda had likened tribals with terrorists during the pre-release event of Retro, and demanded action.

In a latest development, Vijay Deverakonda has responded to the controversy. Devarakonda said that he did not mean to hurt anyone. He went on to say that he meant to say that we as a nation are one and we are all a family. If his words hurt the sentiments of some, then he was sorry, posted Devarakonda on his X handle.

If one rewinds a bit, Vijay Deverakonda attended the pre-release event of Retro as the chief guest. During his speech, he spoke about the Pahalgam issue. He said India need not retaliate to Pakistan. The people there will get tired of the government and turn against it. Not stopping there, he continued to say the terrorists behaved like tribals 500 years ago without common sense. We must all unite at such times, said Vijay Deverakonda.
