We can see TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy hiking the prices at his will without any rationale or scientific analysis just on the basis that people coming in discretionary quota can afford high prices. The video has gone viral on WhatsApp.
The video does not look like a devotional board meeting. It is just like an auction with the highest prices becoming final. The Chairman and the members can be seen saying the hike is not enough, it can be increased further.
Most prices of various sevas have been doubled or tripled. Devotees are in anguish saying that these high prices will only distance the lord from the people. Under YV Subba Reddy, the room rents in Tirumala were also hiked a lot.
