Media Baron Ramoji Rao passed away earlier this morning due to a health-related issues. Since morning, many media, film and political personalities have been visiting Ramoji Film City and are paying their last respects to Ramoji.

Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu shared a close relationship with Ramoji Rao. Naidu was in Delhi this morning, but upon learning of Ramoji Rao’s passing, he immediately returned to Hyderabad.

A short while ago, Naidu paid his respects to Ramoji Rao’s mortal remains. Speaking to the media afterwards, he described Ramoji Rao as a visionary.

“I have known him for 40 years. He always strived for the betterment of society and the Telugu people. He is not just a person but an institution. Coming from a humble background, he built an empire,” said Chandrababu Naidu.

Naidu highlighted that Ramoji Rao was dedicated to the welfare of the people throughout his life, until his last breath.

He also mentioned Ramoji Rao’s contribution to the state by creating a world-class film city. “He could have built a commercial complex for his own benefit, but he chose to construct a film city that supports the film industry, becomes an icon for the city, and boosts state tourism. That was his vision,” Chandrababu remarked.

Chandrababu Naidu asserted that Ramoji Rao would always remain in the hearts of the Telugu people. He said Ramoji Rao guided him on many matters in the past and promised to develop Andhra Pradesh drawing inspiration from Ramoji Rao.

He prayed for Ramoji Rao’s soul to rest in peace and expressed his condolences to the family.
