Janasena Party has removed Former MLA TV Ramarao from the Incharge Duties of Kovvuru constituency, East Godavari.
T.V. Rama Rao, along with his followers, staged a public protest alleging irregularities in the appointments of Chairmen of cooperative societies in the Kovvuru constituency. They also staged a protest at the toll gate.
They demanded that at least three posts out of the 14 societies in the district be given to them.
After he was removed as the in-charge, Janasena Supporters on Social Media were disturbed and questioned why this radical step was taken when someone from the party was demanding their rightful share.
But facts are different.
In 2009, TV Rama Rao contested on behalf of the TDP from the Kovvur constituency of the East Godavari district and won as an MLA.
He was convicted in a case of sexually molesting a student of his own college, and his political career was finished then itself.
In 2014, he attempted to secure a TDP ticket and was obviously rejected. He claims to have campaigned in support of KS Jawahar and contributed to the TDP’s victory. He did not get a ticket in 2019 either. As a result, he joined the YSRCP in the same year.
He supported Thaneti Vanitha, who contested from Kovvur. He resigned from the YSRCP in 2023 and joined the Janasena.
He was denied a ticket once again in 2024. He stayed silent but is actively working to destroy the alliance.
Janasena High Command got information that TV Ramarao is once again in touch with the YSR Congress High Command and is just trying to destroy the alliance in the constituency before jumping ship.
He is also accused of encouraging groupism in Janasena Party there.
Pawan Kalyan is advocating for the alliance to continue at least for 15-20 years. At this time, Janasena openly protesting against the alliance did not go well with Pawan Kalyan.
Immediately, he was removed as the party in charge.
Taking TV Ramarao itself is a blunder because of his tainted past.
But Pawan Kalyan took him in the rush of the elections. It is better to get rid of him at least now.
Muppidi Venkateswara Rao from the Telugu Desam Party won in the last elections over YSRCP’s Talari Venkat Rao with a whopping 33,946 vote margin.
