After her defeat in the Nagari constituency in the recent elections, RK Roja, the actress-turned-YSRCP politician, has notably gone silent. Known for her aggressive stance against political rivals like Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh during YSRCP’s tenure from 2019 to 2024, Roja’s loss seems to have subdued her once-vocal presence.
There are rumors that her defeat may have been caused by internal factors within YSRCP rather than the opposition TDP. Adding to her woes, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is reportedly preparing to investigate allegations of corruption during her time as a minister in the YSRCP government.
Roja’s future political moves are under speculation. Observers have noticed changes in her social media presence, such as the removal of YSRCP-related content, including photos with YS Jagan, and her decision to unfollow the YSRCP President on her X account (formerly Twitter). These actions suggest that she may be distancing herself from the party.
Sources indicate that Roja is considering a shift to Tamil Nadu politics, exploring constituencies around Chennai. As for which party she might join, options like Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, DMK, AIADMK, and BJP are being speculated. However, it remains unclear whether any of these parties will extend an invitation to her.
