Telugu Desam Party, Janasena, and the BJP have contested together in 2024 elections and won with a thumping majority (164/175). The Journey together in the last seven months has been mostly comfortable until the recent Nara Lokesh Deputy CM issue.
Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan are displaying excellent camaraderie whenever they are together. The Trio never hesitate to speak high about each other in the Public.

But then, still there is a high degree of mistrust in the cadres. This is particularly high in the Janasena cadre. They are not owning the TDP as much as they own the BJP.
Pawan Kalyan achieved the most difficult task of bringing together both the sides twice already (2014 and 2024). However it is not an easy combination.

TDP and Janasena are on the opposite sides of a coin due to caste and film reasons. Kamma and Kapu communities are polarised opposite to each other for many years and the rivalry peaked after Vangaveeti Ranga’s murder in the 80s.
Not that Kapu community never voted the TDP but there is a section that is always poised against the TDP.

And then, the film rivalries make things worse. The Kamma community identifies with Nandamuri Heroes while the Kapu Community rallies with the Mega Heroes. These heroes have become identity of those communities. The film rivalries panned into the tussles between the communities and between the parties.
The Kapu Community harbours the hopes of Tasting Political Power and believes Pawan Kalyan is their best chance. Their hope became massive when Janasena registered 21/21 Victory in the recent elections and after PK became the Deputy CM.
They can not bear with TDP because they believe Pawan Kalyan will never get a chance to occupy the Big Position and Lokesh will be Chandrababu’s natural heir.
However, they are comfortable with the BJP not out of love but because they feel the Saffron Party is a negligible force in AP Politics and they are not a competition.
But then, these people are grossly under-estimating the BJP. The Saffron Party under Narendra Modi and Amit Shah is very different. They do not like to operate with allies forever.
They mercilessly destroy the parties when they believe the time has come. We have seen what they did to Shiv Sena, one of their oldest allies in the country.
The BJP high command may appear like they love Pawan Kalyan a lot but that is temporary. The love will not last forever unless Pawan Kalyan is ready to Merge the Janasena Party into the BJP and become its leader.
TDP is very much aware of this and is taking the alliance as much seriously as it needs to. Janasena Supporters are new to Politics and will take time to understand this.
