It appears that TDP President Chandrababu Naidu might spend a few more days in jail. According to analysts, if everything goes in favor of CBN in the Apex Court, he might be released by the end of this week. Nara Lokesh is scheduled to appear before the APCID regarding the Inner Ring Road case. Reportedly, Lokesh could not be detained due to the issuance of a 41 A notice in the case.
There has been little political activity from the TDP in the past month, except for protests by people worldwide. Lokesh’s Yuvagalam program was halted in East Godavari after CBN’s arrest. If CBN were released, he would have visited different parts of the state to address various issues. The only positive aspect for the TDP is that general elections are still scheduled to take place. TDP could face trouble if the AP elections coincide with those in Telangana.
Chandrababu’s wife, Nara Bhuvaneshwari, who is in Lokesh’s camp in Rajamahendravaram RV Nagar, has been visited by large numbers of women from many areas, expressing their solidarity. Every day, people from across the two Telugu states meet her and show their support for CBN. Analysts suggest that TDP is delaying in harnessing this support.
It would be beneficial if either Bhuvaneswari or Brahmini initiates a political event like a bus tour, as there would likely be an overwhelming response from the people. TDP cadre also believes that Lokesh will resume his marathon after the second week of this month.
