Jayaprakash Narayana and JD Lakshminarayana have good image in Telugu people. The public sees them as upright people and commends their fight against corruption. JP served as a bureaucrat in various positions and made a deep impression with his Lok Satta movement.
JD Lakshminarayana shot to fame with his fight in Jagan’s cases and later entered politics taking voluntary retirement.
JP won as Kukatpally MLA and JD Lakshminarayana emerged as a Giantkiller in Vishakapatnam Parliament polling more votes than Pawan Kalyan in some assembly segments but helping the YSR Congress candidate win with a slender margin.
JP’s Kukatpally win and JD’s Good performance in Vishaka Parliament are the honors people gave them for their honesty. But then, they have lost it later on.
JP subsequently lost in Kukatpally and disappeared from electoral politics. JD came out of Janasena and is not clear about his political journey.
Now, they are facing allegations that they are hobnobbing with the ruling parties to please them.
The other day, Jayaprakash Narayana did an interview with KTR and it is clear that he is trying to influence the voters particularly the educated using his image.
He showered praises on BRS and even made some critical comments on Congress helping the ruling party.
JD Lakshminarayana, the other day, was praising Jagan Mohan Reddy’s schemes. This did not happen randomly. He attended a program on the invitation of YSR Congress Srisailam MLA and made those comments from that stage.
There are allegations that the former CBI JD is expecting a YSR Congress ticket from Vishakapatnam in 2024.
During the Telangana agitation, JP was gheraoed by the then TRS MLAs. An MLA assaulted him and the driver of an MLA slapped him in the Assembly Media Point.
And then, YSR Congress tried its level best to pull down the then CBI Joint Director Lakshminarayana with heinous comments for investigating Jagan’s cases.
But both of them do not have a problem with those parties now since they are in power and these leaders want to be in their good books.
The problem with this behavior is that going forward, people will not believe anyone if they venture into politics in the name of honesty and change.
