Once popularly called as Hitech Babu, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu has taken welfare route this time. He is more focused on welfare and the development of the state now. As a part of it, Chandra Babu wants to finish the Polavaram project during his tenure. Polavaram is a key project for drinking and cultivation purposes in Godavari and Krishna districts. Finishing this project will earn the name of AP’s Bhageeratha.
After successfully getting the 7 mandals of Khammam from Telangana, the CM is currently focused on the neighboring Chhattisgarh and Odisha states. 8 villages in Odisha and 4 villages in Chhattisgarh will be submerged due to this project, Chandra Babu will sit with the CMs of both the states and convince them not to create any hurdles for the project. He will be giving them a presentation regarding the rehabilitation planned for the people in the submerging villages. Chandra Babu’s visit to the two states will be in the next week.
