It is confirmed that BJP will be joining the alliance of TDP and Janasena. There are reports that Chandrababu Naidu is successful in keeping Janasena and BJP together at 30 MLAs and 8 MP Seats.
If this turns out to be true, it will be a very good deal for the Telugu Desam Party as it will get to contest in 145 MLA and Seventeen MP seats. Also we are hearing that the seats BJP will be given are also neatly picked to avoid damage to the alliance.
Now comes the most important task. There is a section in the AP BJP that is completely Pro-TDP. The likes of Somu Veerraju, GVL Narasimha Rao, and S Vishnu Reddy are in this section.
It is important that they should be avoided in tickets. They will look to help YSR Congress win if they are given tickets. Also, TDP voters are unlikely to transfer their votes. So it is important to ensure they do not get tickets.
This batch was the reason between the fallout between the TDP and the BJP after 2014. Despite being a part of the then Government, these leaders tried to play the Opposition by criticising the Government and helping the YSR Congress. So, Chandrababu should be very careful.
If they don’t get tickets and they don’t win, their voice will automatically lose credibility.
