Megastar Chiranjeevi who is the star campaigner of Congress in 2014 elections led the party to a Zero and later became politically active shooting for films. There are doubts if he is really into politics and Congress these days even though the party claims that he will campaign for the party as and when needed.

Chiranjeevi is currently in Georgia for the shooting of his Sye Raa. Telangana Congress is in two minds if or not to use for the campaign here since he is being seen as an Andhra leader who took anti-Telangana stand during the bifurcation.
But a section feels that he should campaign since his film Khaidi No 150 did well in Nizam and the anger on him is forgotten. It has to be seen if Chiranjeevi will accept this proposal. He will be in Georgia for the next one month or so and may say to the party he is busy with his film commitments.
Congress is having an alliance with TDP with which Pawan Kalyan is fighting in Andhra Pradesh. So, it has to be seen if Chiranjeevi will campaign for Congress at this juncture. AICC has named Vijay Shanthi as the Star Campaigner for Telangana Congress for the upcoming elections. That also indicates that
