It has been reported that Amanchi Swamulu, the brother of former MLA Amanchi Krishnamohan from Chirala, is likely to join the Jana Sena party. Swamulu has already held several meetings with Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan and PAC chairman Nadendla Manohar.
Pawan Kalyan apparently believes that leaders like Amanchi Swamulu would be valuable additions to the party. Meanwhile, Amanchi Krishnamohan currently serves as the YSRCP in-charge of Parchur constituency. He was transferred from the responsibilities of Chirala to Parchur.
Swamulu seems to have concluded that there is no future for him in the YSRCP and has made the decision to join Jana Sena, reportedly on June 12th. Amanchi Krishna Mohan is known for his influence in backdoor politics and holds significant popularity. There have been rumors suggesting that both Amanchi brothers are strategizing to retain control over Chirala.
It is anticipated that Jana Sena will field Swamulu as its candidate in the Chirala segment. In the 2019 general elections, TDP emerged as the winner in Chirala. However, Karanam Balaram, who belonged to TDP, later joined the YSRCP. It remains to be seen whether TDP will relinquish the seat, even if an alliance is formed.
