Will Jagan Sit With Revanth Reddy?

YS Jagan Revanth Reddy

YSR Congress always saw Revanth Reddy as a foe just because he never abused Chandrababu Naidu even after leaving TDP. Making their worst fears true, Revanth Reddy won the Telangana elections and became the Chief Minister despite the resistance from the Seniors.

Even though fully worried about Chandrababu receiving cooperation from Hyderabad in 2024, Jagan Mohan Reddy posted a tweet wishing Revanth Reddy as a formality.

But then, Jagan will be the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at least for the next three months. It has to be seen if he will sit with Revanth Reddy over contentious issues with Telangana.

The other day, Telangana Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao told the media that very soon, talks will be initiated with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to return the five villages of Bhadrachalam that went to Andhra Pradesh during the bifurcation.

“Those five villages are crucial for the development of Bhadrachalam,” Tummala said.

Andhra Pradesh has many issues pending with Telangana. These issues are a priority for Andhra Pradesh but were neglected by the Jagan Government after 2019.

When the Telangana Government proposes something, the AP Government can use them as Bargain chips and solve some of the pending issues.

But then, the question is if Jagan will be ready to sit with Revanth Reddy for a dialogue.

After coming to Power, Jagan met KCR only once in the early days of his term. Back then, he unconditionally gave away the Secretariat buildings allotted to Andhra to KCR as a gratitude towards the backdoor support of the BRS Government in elections.

Later, there was no attempt to meet the Telangana Chief Minister or resolve any pending issues.
