The issue of Sharmila’s party merger into Congress has been doing rounds in political circles for the last couple of months. Earlier, there were reports that Congress will give two seats to Sharmila and her aide and will also shift her to Andhra Pradesh to checkmate Jagan.
But then, the scene has changed now. Sharmila publicly announced that she would do politics only in Telangana. That would make the already murky race of Telangana Congress even worse.
There are media reports now saying Sharmila is seeking forty seats in Telangana. If that is right, Congress will be a gone case. There is no point in accommodating so many seats when Sharmila brings very less value to the table.
Giving her 40 seats and ignoring the senior leaders is a big joke. And it makes no sense to keep her in Telangana when her real need is in Andhra Pradesh.
The merger which looked so simple two-three days ago is suddenly looking complicated. It is as such with YS family members nothing is uncomplicated or less complicated.
