They’re now circulating an alleged phone call recording of Sharmila, which according to them is a huge expose.
They’re accusing Sharmila of engaging in conspiracy politics regarding the allocation of Congress tickets for the Paderu Assembly seat. Initially, loyal Congress member Vanthala Subbarao was expected to receive the ticket.
However, at the last minute, Sharmila awarded the ticket to Bullibabu, who defected from YSRCP. This decision led Subbarao to rebel. In the purported audio,
Sharmila is heard attempting to convince and then threaten Subbarao. YSRCP supporters argue that Sharmila’s true intentions were revealed during the call. They allege that she admitted to giving the ticket to Bullibabu only to divide YSRCP votes to Congress.
According to YSRCP supporters, Sharmila confessed over the phone that Bullibabu was chosen to split YSRCP’s votes.
Sharmila’s pain will not end with this election; she is a very strong-headed lady, and she will make every effort to increase the Congress vote share in the state. This will only give sleepless nights going forward. In a way, the trouble has just started.
