YSR Congress In Shambles In Executive Capital

YSRCP-Visakhapatnam-jagan

Telugu Desam Party won four out of the four constituencies in Vishakapatnam City in the 2019 elections despite the strong Jagan wave.

Jagan tried to break the TDP’s stronghold by announcing the plan to make Vishakapatnam as the Executive Capital of Andhra Pradesh but it looks like nothing is working. The party is a complete mess in Vishakapatnam.

We have seen the party MLC Vamshi Krishna Yadav leaving YSR Congress to join the Janasena Party.

Another Senior Leader, Sitamraju Sudhakar also resigned to the party. He is likely to join TDP.

The sitting MLA is replaced in Gajuwaka. A relative of Minister Amarnath was appointed as the incharge of Gajuwaka and that fuelled Group Politics in the constituency.

The party is planning to replace sitting MLA Adeep Raj in Pendurthi. That has complicated the constituency too.

The party’s condition in constituencies of Vishaka East, Gajuwaka, Pendurthi, Vishaka South, and Vishaka West is beyond redemption, the party leaders themselves are admitting.

If leaders are leaving because of refusing tickets, that is also not convincing. It is unlikely that leaders leave a party if they are confident that the party is getting back to power and that too, no one wants to be in other parties in the proposed Executive Capital.

YSR Congress’s Top Leadership is worried about the zero gains despite having announced Vishakapatnam as the Executive Capital.
