Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to defeat Pawan Kalyan here at any cost as he thinks that will end his political career. We have already seen Jagan strategically defeat Pawan Kalyan from two constituencies in the 2019 elections.
One more election loss and Pawan Kalyan will never recover.
However, defeating Pawan Kalyan in Pitapuram is not easy because there are 91,000 Kapu voting here and the TDP vote bank will also stand by the Powerstar.
YSR Congress is confident that social engineering can easily defeat Pawan Kalyan.
They believe Kapu voting will not go entirely to Pawan Kalyan if they concentrate on BC and Dalit voting in the constituency.
They trust that a majority of the 20,000 voting of the SCs will go towards them.
YSR Congress believes Fishermen and Padmashali communities have benefitted immensely from the welfare schemes. They are planning meetings and presentations with community heads of the BC communities and explaining the benefits they received in Jagan’s rule.
1.2 Lakh votes are needed to win Pitapuram. YSR Congress believes it is not difficult with the combination of BC and SC voting.
Also, they are planning to unleash the ‘Local Vs Non-Local’ campaign to create doubts about Pawan Kalyan’s availability and accessibility to the people of the constituency.
If Pawan Kalyan is defeated, it will be a huge victory for Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Even if he is not defeated, the YSR Congress plans to confine Pawan to Pitapuram and deny him campaigning in other constituencies.
