Ex CM YS Jagan will be visiting Podili in Prakasam district. The women in the area were protesting raising slogans against Jagan’s tour.
What was diabolic was the YSRCP cadre hitting the women with stones and chappal. In the attack, some women and three constables were hurt. The police rushed to the spot and dispersed the YSRCP cadre.
Jagan is to visit the tobacco auction centre in Podili. Women holding black balloons and placards held a protest rally at PSR Colony on Ratham road against him.
The women expressed their anger over Jagan’s silence on the abusive comments made by YSRCP leaders on Amaravati women. They questioned his disregard towards the sentiments of Amaravati women.
They demanded that Jagan must enter Podili only after saying sorry. Shame, shame, shame Jagan, Bharathi must end her silence – and other slogans were raised by the women.
As the women raised slogans, the YSRCP cadre attacked them with stones and chappal.
