YSR Congress is creating hurdles for TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Kuppam.
As part of the second day of the tour, Chandrababu was supposed to open the Anna canteen at the bus stand in the town.
TDP activists and leaders reached Kuppam on a large scale and took out a protest rally. Leaders including TDP chief Chandrababu and a large number of activists participated in the rally. The protest rally continued from the R&B guesthouse to the bus stand.
On the other hand, the TDP ranks tried to go towards the house of YSR Congress MLC Bharat but were stopped by the police. In this order, a scuffle took place between the police and the TDP workers. Later, the police lathi-charged them.
Due to this many TDP workers were injured. Some activists were hit on the head and bled profusely. Chandrababu strongly condemned the behavior of the police. He protested by camping on the road near Anna Canteen.
Vandalizing Anna Canteen which will feed 100s of poor per day is a very poor step by YSR Congress and is being criticized across the state.
