The Former Chief Minister visited his village, Kallitanda, Gorantla Mandal, Sri Sathya Sai District, and consoled the family.

He assured that the party would support him in every way.

He announced that the YSRCP would provide Rs. 25 lakh to Murali Nayak’s family. It is a good gesture on the part of Jagan to support the bereaved family at this difficult hour.

But then, the conduct of YSR Congress Cadres and leaders during Jagan’s tour is highly objectionable.

Before Jagan arrived, the YSRCP workers who reached Murali Nayak’s house chanted ‘Jai Jagan’.

Penukonda DSP Narsingappa suggested that only ‘Jai Jawan, Vande Mataram, Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ should be chanted, and no whistles or honking are allowed.

However, when Jagan arrived, the cadres started chanting ‘Jai Jagan’, and even when he was visiting Murali Naik’s parents, which drew criticism.

It is noteworthy that even though Jagan was coming to visit the family of the Martyr, YSRCP leaders resorted to congregating people from Hindupur, Puttaparthi, and Penukonda by paying them money.

Traffic was paralyzed for 40 minutes as Jagan was brought in a rally from Gummayyagaripalle Cross in Gorantla mandal. This caused difficulties for motorists.

This is supposed to be a tour to respect the Martyr, but YSR Congress rank and file dealt with it as a complete political event.

Probably that is the instruction that came in from Tadepalli.

On the other hand, Jagan’s speech is also not in good taste.

Speaking to the media, after visiting the family, Jagan said, “The program of providing assistance of Rs. 50 lakhs to the families of soldiers who died defending the country was initiated during the YSRCP regime. I thank the coalition government for continuing it”.

Jagan was simply trying to take the credit even in a sensitive issue like this.

If the Government did not give good compensation, he could have said they were giving 50 Lakhs and demanded the same from this Government too.

But even after the Government does the same, mentioning his Government is only a desperate measure to take credit.

These are all small things that should be dealt with very carefully. It will leave a bad impression on the people unnecessarily.
