Today, MLA Raghuramakrishna Raju (RRR) was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, a decision officially announced by Speaker Ayyannapatradu. In this context, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made noteworthy comments, praising Raju while criticizing the YCP government.

The CM took the opportunity to express his disapproval of the YCP’s actions, particularly highlighting the unjust treatment Raghuramakrishna Raju faced when he was arrested on his birthday.

Naidu condemned the government for accusing Raju of treason, calling it an unjust move aimed at silencing him.

Chandrababu lauded Raju as an “untainted” individual, a “straight-talking personality” whose forthrightness had often put him at odds with the ruling party. He remarked that Raju’s outspokenness was precisely what led to his troubles with the YCP, which had been targeting him for the past five years.

Drawing a comparison to the popular “RRR” film, the CM remarked that just as the movie made waves in the entertainment industry, Raju had become a political sensation, stirring things up in the Assembly as well.

In his comments, the CM also praised Raghuramakrishna Raju for bringing “fullness” to the Speaker’s chair, suggesting that his new role was a significant achievement that added depth and integrity to the Assembly.

Naidu’s remarks were both a tribute to Raju’s resilience and a critique of the current government’s handling of opposition voices.
