Speaking at the Amaravati relaunch event attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan strongly criticized the previous state YS Jagan’s government handling of the capital project.
He said Amaravati was “wiped out like a Diviseema cyclone by the YSRCP,” referring to the stagnation the region faced in the last few years.
He recalled the struggles of Amaravati’s farmers who donated their lands, saying they had endured hardship and police crackdowns over the past five years.
Pawan described Amaravati as a hub that belongs to five crore people and praised PM Modi for treating the entire country as his own family. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for attending the relaunch.
He stated that the farmers of Amaravati have won a moral battle and their sacrifices must not be forgotten. “We are responsible for honoring their commitment. They didn’t just give land; they gave the state a future,” he said.
He emphasized that with NDA governments at both the Centre and state, Amaravati will now see rapid progress. He envisioned the capital growing into a world-class city, where future AP generations won’t have to migrate to Bengaluru or Hyderabad for better opportunities.
Pawan Kalyan concluded by thanking PM Modi for his continued support and expressed hope that divine blessings would further empower the Prime Minister in his leadership.
