AP Man Arrested In Rashmika’s Deepfake Case

The Delhi Police has arrested a man suspected to be the creator of a deepfake video featuring actor Rashmika Mandanna. The accused was arrested in Andhra Pradesh and is currently being interrogated in Delhi.

The arrest follows an FIR filed on November 10 under sections of the Indian Penal Code and Information Technology Act. The police had earlier sought information from Meta to identify the individual responsible for creating and circulating the deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna on social media.

On the work front, Rashmika was recently seen in the blockbuster film Animal.
