In a scene reminiscent of the superhit film Balagam, a real-life incident unfolded in Telangana’s Nizamabad district, where two families became embroiled in a heated dispute leading to their separation, all over the issue of mutton bone marrow (nalli bokka).
Getting into the details, a matrimonial alliance had been arranged between a young man from Jagityal district and a girl from Nizamabad district. Both families discussed and finalized the marriage arrangements. The engagement ceremony was held in the first week of November.
However, during the engagement lunch, a member from the groom’s side requested nalli bokka from the bride’s family. This seemingly innocuous request escalated swiftly into a major fight between both sides. Eventually, the conflict was solved at the police station but sadly, the marriage was cancelled.
