Some reports circulating since morning highlighted a preference for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ over Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ in North, leading to the latter’s producers withholding the film from PVR-Inox and Miraj theatres in some regions. However, PVR has now officially reassured everyone.
Kamal Gianchandani, President of the Multiplex Association of India and Chief Business Planning & Strategy at PVR Ltd, addressed the allegations concerning ‘Salaar’ at PVR Inox. He stated, “We’ve noticed some strange online claims about unfair showcasing practices at PVRINOX. We deeply respect all film producers choosing our theatres. Disagreements in business happen with big film releases. This isn’t new, and things will resolve. Dismiss these unfounded theories.”
PVR’s statement offers hope that the issues surrounding film showcases will be resolved amicably, assuring movie enthusiasts that everything will soon normalize.
