The Delhi Police has registered an FIR in connection with a deepfake video featuring actress Rashmika Mandanna. The FIR is filed under sections 465 and 469 of the IPC, 1860, and section 66C and 66E of the IT Act, 2000.
Soon after Rashmika Mandanna shared an open letter regarding the incident, she received a support from a lot of celebrities and the police officials also responded instantly.

The investigation is underway in response to concerns raised by the Delhi Commission for Women after the deepfake video circulated widely on social media platforms. More details in the case are awaited.
