Rashmika’s Deepfake: Bihar Teen Under Inquiry

In the case of the morphing video involving actress Rashmika Mandanna, the police have reportedly identified the account from which the fake video was uploaded.

The police have written to Meta, Facebook’s parent company, requesting URL details related to the fake video upload and information on those who shared it. A 19-year-old from Bihar has been questioned in connection with the case, suspected of being linked to the viral video.

While no arrests have been made yet, the investigation is ongoing. The Deep Fake video incident has garnered strong condemnation from various quarters, including the Union Minister.
