At the pre-release event of Animal a few days back, Telangana Minister Malla Reddy gave a speech that quickly went viral. In the presence of Superstar Mahesh Babu, Ranbir Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor, Malla Reddy remarked that Hyderabad is now the hub of Indian cinema, suggesting that the entire Bollywood industry should relocate here.
The statement left both Mahesh and Ranbir visibly unsure of how to respond, leading to an awkward moment amid the audience. Later, in an interview, Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga was asked about his take on Malla Reddy’s speech.
In response, Sandeep mentioned that Malla Reddy is known for delivering such speeches, and it’s somewhat expected from him by the public. When questioned whether he felt uneasy hearing those statements, Sandeep acknowledged Malla Reddy’s stature as a 75-year-old individual who has achieved significantly in life. He emphasized the need to respect his words, whether agreeable or not.
