Sensational Malayalam director Alphonse Puthran, known for films like ‘Premam’ and ‘Neram,’ made a shocking announcement on his official Instagram page. He revealed that he had been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and expressed his decision to quit making films for big screens.

However, he said that he would continue working on songs, videos, short films, and content for OTT platforms. He expressed a desire to stay in the creative field but felt that quitting cinema was his only option due to his health condition.

Although the post went viral on social media, Alphonse Puthran later deleted it. However, screenshots of his announcement have been circulating online.
