Australian left-handed batter David Warner has announced his retirement from ODIs in advance of his final Test match against Pakistan. He intends to step away from both formats permanently, although Warner has hinted at the possibility of participating in the 2025 Champions Trophy if circumstances call for it.

Warner’s farewell Test match against Pakistan will take place in his hometown of Sydney. Across his Test career, Warner scored 8695 runs at an average of 44.58, securing 26 centuries and 36 half-centuries.

Having played a total of 161 ODIs, Warner amassed 6932 runs at an average of 45.30. He recorded 22 centuries and 33 half-centuries during his ODI tenure and notably featured in the 2015 and 2023 World Cup squads.
