Ram Mandir witnessed the death of a constable from the Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force.
On Wednesday, an incident occurred at 5:25 AM.
Vishwakarma was sent to the under construction VIP gate in front of the Koteshwar Temple.
150 metres from the main part of the Ram Temple. He was on duty with several other security personnel at the time of the incident.
It is still not clear whether the incident was a suicide or a meer accident but the gunshot happened by his own rifle which he was carrying.
The constable killed in the gunshot has been identified as 25-year-old Shatrughna Vishwakarma from Ambedkarnagar.
Inspector General of Police for Faizabad Range, Pravin Kumar told TOI, “Forensic reports and a post-mortem examination will clarify the exact cause”.
According to the report, the bullet struck Vishwakarma in the forehead, his teammates immediately took him to the trauma centre, and later he was declared dead.
The death of the officer created a buzz around the temple area.
The police headquarter informed his family, and they arrived the place immediately.
