A Quarter Of Indians Shifting Jobs Next Year?

Indians Shifting Jobs

If you are an office-going man who works for his boss, gets paid but is still not happy, and wants to leave, don’t worry; you are not alone. You fall among those 26 percent of workers who wish to quit their current jobs.

A report published by the Boston Consulting Group suggests that 26 percent of Indian workers can leave their jobs by next year. The percentage rises to 28 when accounting for global workers.

The survey was done in October 2023 among 11,000 employees from various countries like the US, Canada, the UK, France, Japan, India, etc. Surprisingly, people preferred fair treatment and a better workspace, along with their emotional health, over a hike in payment. This is a very un-Indian thing for people. Can we assume that people really are getting inspired by Ved from Tamasha, who left his job for his passion?

This change should be welcomed as a sign of changing priorities, which might lead to a better environment in the corporate sector. What do you think?
