Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi are coming together for Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, the sequel to the 2019 romantic comedy Pati Patni Aur Woh. The film is directed by Mudassar Aziz and is set to release on March 4, 2026, during Holi.
The first film starring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Ananya Panday was a commercial success that relied on small-town charm and humorous relationship twists. This time, Ayushmann steps in as the lead, with a new cast and a similar mix of romance, confusion, and comedy.
Kartik Aaryan has now moved toward large-scale commercial projects and is no longer associated with small-town comedies. On the other hand, Ayushmann Khurrana has been known for portraying relatable middle-class characters effectively, which makes him well-suited for this genre.
The sequel features three female leads, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi, who add fresh energy to the story. Director Mudassar Aziz, who last made Khel Khel Mein, is returning to the light-hearted romantic space that helped him find success earlier.
