Police say her lover, Lakshminarayan, who was 51 years old, killed her and later died by suicide. Neighbours reported a disturbance, and the police reached the spot soon after. The incident has left the local community in shock.
Lalita was earlier married and had children, but she separated from her family due to personal issues. She later moved to Bengaluru and worked in a private company. She lived away from her husband and children and continued her life independently.
According to police, Lalita and Lakshminarayan were in a relationship for some time. Officers believe that personal issues and repeated fights may have led to the tragedy. They are checking phone records, messages and neighbour statements to understand what happened.
