Cricketer's Wife Donates Hair In Charity

In a heartwarming gesture, British model and actor Hazel Keech has donated her hair to support cancer patients. Keech, who is married to cricketer Yuvraj Singh, shared her experience on Instagram, revealing her inspiration for the donation.

Keech explained that observing new mothers cutting their hair short after childbirth made her curious. She later learned about postpartum hairfall, a challenge for mothers adjusting to their newborns. This realization prompted her decision to donate her hair to make wigs for people undergoing cancer treatments.

The 36-year-old donated her locks to The Little Princess Trust, a UK-based charity. The organization provides free real hair wigs to individuals who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other conditions. The charity also contributes to child cancer research, making Keech’s donation even more impactful.

Keech’s motivation stemmed from her husband Yuvraj Singh’s battle with mediastinal seminoma, a rare chest cancer. Singh shared his emotional experience of losing hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows during chemotherapy, emphasizing the significant impact on self-esteem.

This generous act of kindness highlights the importance of empathy and support for those facing cancer.

“I wanted to share with you all this charity since I wasn’t aware such things were done the first time I cut my hair short. Imagine all that long, beautiful hair we see on salon fall can actually used to make someone’s life a little bit better.”
