The Paradise has opened to a superb response in North America, driven by massive hype and anticipation. The Nani starrer has collected approximately $1.42 million from the US premieres, giving Nani the biggest premiere opening of his career by a huge margin.
The film has also recorded the second-highest premiere gross among Tollywood films in 2026 so far in North America. Ram Charan’s Peddi remains ahead with approximately $1.56 million. The gap is relatively small, making The Paradise one of the biggest US openings for a Telugu film this year.
What makes Nani’s number even more impressive is that The Paradise achieved it without a trailer. Despite that unusual promotional strategy, the film generated enough curiosity among North American audiences to deliver a $1.4 million-plus premiere.
For Nani, this is a clear jump in market strength. His previous best premieres were already strong, but The Paradise has taken his overseas opening to another level. The advance bookings had already indicated massive interest, and the premiere numbers have now converted that hype into actual theatrical business.
However, this kind of opening may be difficult to repeat with every film. The Paradise had unusually high anticipation, and Nani’s next few films will have to put in a lot of effort to build their own momentum to come close to this benchmark.
The current top three North American premiere grosses among Tollywood films are Kalki 2898 AD at around $3.9 million, RRR at approximately $3.5 million and Pushpa 2 at around $3.34 million.
With The Paradise now at $1.42 million, Nani has clearly entered a new level in the US market. The bigger question is whether he can consistently sustain this level with his upcoming films.
