Brawls within families are unfortunately not uncommon, often arising from differences between individuals, which may be rooted in generational gaps or simply personal conflicts. However, when such disputes escalate into violence, it becomes a serious concern. An unfortunate incident occurred in Thane, Maharashtra, where a woman became physically aggressive towards her mother-in-law.
In an upper-middle-class household in Thane, a woman with an evidently strained relationship with her mother-in-law became infuriated and began harassing her. Initially, the mother-in-law resisted, further fueling the woman’s anger, and leading her to physically assault her with her hands. As the mother-in-law continued to resist, the assailant opened the apartment door and began dragging the elderly lady towards it, leaving her in a helpless state. A momentary distraction caused by an incoming phone call temporarily diverted the woman’s attention from her harmful intentions, and she eventually ceased her actions, while her mother-in-law lay on the floor.
This act of physical violence was captured on the hall’s CCTV camera and subsequently went viral. Although such incidents sadly occur in our country, they must be unequivocally condemned, and the woman responsible should be held accountable for her actions.
