In a shocking case of negligence, a 60-year-old woman died of a heart attack at a government hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district while the doctor on duty was allegedly busy watching reels on his phone. This incident is yet another reminder of the poor state of public healthcare in India.
Pravesh Kumari was brought to the emergency ward in critical condition, but instead of treating her, Dr. Adarsh Sanger reportedly asked a nurse to handle the case. The family repeatedly begged him to help, but he ignored them, staying glued to his phone.

The footage also captures the shocking moment when he slapped the patient’s son. This incident has sparked public outrage, once again raising questions about accountability in government hospitals.
Authorities claim they have started an investigation, but similar cases in the past rarely led to real consequences. If doctors continue to act carelessly without fear of punishment, more lives will be lost. The urgent need for stricter rules, better supervision, and real accountability in India’s healthcare system is now evident more than ever.
