A deeply disturbing case has emerged from the Chaubepur area of Kanpur. A 14-year-old boy studying in Class 10 has been accused of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl from his neighbourhood.
Reports suggest that the teenager was addicted to watching adult films on his mobile phone, which influenced him to commit this horrific act. The young victim suffered severe injuries in her private parts and is in a critical condition.
Doctors treating her confirmed that she is receiving medical care and close monitoring. The incident has shocked the local community and sparked serious concern among parents and authorities.
Kanpur’s Joint Police Commissioner, Ashutosh Kumar, confirmed the arrest. He said police acted immediately and registered a case under the POCSO Act, which strictly punishes crimes against children.
While schools teach students about good touch and bad touch, unrestricted mobile access remains a major concern. Children can easily find adult content online. Parents must enable content filters and keep an eye on what their children are viewing.
Parents often notice subtle behavioural changes in their children. Taking these signs seriously, having open conversations, and guiding them with attention and care can help prevent such tragic incidents and protect innocent lives.
