Young Techie Dies Due To Speeding: Hyderabad

A young software employee lost his life in a road accident in Hyderabad. The 23-year-old techie, originally from Warangal, worked at a software company in Gachibowli. Puneet Yadav was staying in a hostel in Gowlidoddi.

On Thursday night, Puneet and his friend were travelling from Gowlidoddi to Gachibowli. Puneet was riding the bike at high speed. The bike hit a divider. Both of them fell. Puneet died on the spot.

His friend, who was the pillion rider, survived with minor injuries. Locals alerted the police and the injured friend was taken to a hospital. Puneet’s body was shifted to Osmania Hospital for post mortem.

Police have registered a case and started investigation. Hyderabad traffic police have put up signs like Speed Thrills, But Kills around the city. Still, overspeeding continues to claim young lives.

The Gachibowli area has reported several road accidents. Late-night rides on wide roads encourage high speeds. Reduced traffic at night leads to reckless riding, often resulting in fatal crashes.
