Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic won the Miss World 2024 title in Mumbai last night.
Despite the Miss World event happening in India, there wasn’t much excitement about it. Many people didn’t even know it was taking place in our own country.
Do you remember when everyone used to watch Miss World on TV? Well, yesterday it was in our own India, and most people didn’t even realize it. It seems like people have lost interest in this event now.
Also, there has been a lot of criticism about these contestants, especially from India, talking about ending hunger in the world, establishing world peace, and working for society like Mother Teresa.
But after a year, they would be seen shaking their booty in a Bollywood movie opposite a 60-year-old hero.
People are focusing on real problems now. These shows don’t seem important anymore. It used to be a big deal, but not anymore.
India hosted the event after a long time, but its contestant, Sini Shetty, didn’t make it to the top 4. India has had six winners in the past, but this time luck wasn’t on our side.
The contest had contestants from 112 countries and took place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The judges included famous people like actors, a cricketer, a news personality, and even some former Miss Worlds.
