Record Breaking Condom Sales

New Year’s Eve 2025 brought record-breaking sales for Blinkit, with 1,22,356 packs of condoms delivered in a single day. While this trend underscores a growing awareness of safe sex and responsibility, it has also sparked conversations about what partying means for young people in India.

Critics argue that such assumptions generalize behavior and overlook the diversity of ways people choose to celebrate, from social gatherings and music events to spending time with family.

Alongside condoms, 45,531 bottles of mineral water, 22,322 PartySmart capsules for hangover prevention, and 2,434 packs of ENO for post-party digestion were delivered, showing that people were as focused on recovery as on celebrations.
