Painful Suicide Note Of 18 Year Old

Another instance of student suicide was reported from Kota, the coaching hub of India, this Monday, as an 18-year-old girl hung herself in her rented room. The girl, who was preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), wrote a heartbreaking note to her parents, Mom and Dad, I can’t do JEE. I am a loser. I am the worst daughter. This is the last option.

As per the police, the girl was from Gujarat and had been staying in Kota for the last two years. She was a student of a well-known coaching institute and had taken the JEE Main exam this month. But she was not happy with her work and she was stressed.

On Tuesday, the parents of the girl, who were informed by the police, reached Kota and performed the last rites. They claimed they did not know her mental condition and that she never complained of any pressure or depression.

This is the second student suicide in Kota within a week. On Wednesday, an 18-year-old boy from Bihar, who was also preparing for the JEE, committed suicide by hanging himself in his rented room. He had written a note that he was not happy with his life and he wanted to kill himself.

These incidents have again brought up the issue of the mental health of the students who come to Kota every year for the fulfilment of the dream of entering the top engineering colleges of the nation.
