Hair Transplant Horror: Patient Dies, Dentist Jump

Hair Transplant Horror

A tragic case in Kanpur has raised serious concerns about medical negligence and police apathy after an engineer died during a hair transplant procedure.

The victim, Vineet Dubey, was undergoing the procedure at Empire Clinic, operated by Dr. Anushka Tiwari. According to reports, Dr. Tiwari is a dentist, and her qualifications for performing hair transplants are now under scrutiny.

The incident occurred in March when Vineet received an injection during the procedure and experienced severe swelling on his face. His wife, Jaya Dubey, who was in Gorakhpur at the time, was called and informed vaguely about her husband’s deteriorating condition.

By the time she reached Kanpur, Vineet had already passed away. He had been admitted to Regency Hospital, where he succumbed to a spreading infection on March 15.

Following the death, Dr. Tiwari allegedly removed the hair transplant signage from her clinic and has since gone missing. The clinic remains locked. Despite the gravity of the incident, Jaya’s initial complaint was reportedly ignored by the local police.

It was only after she filed a complaint through the Chief Minister’s grievance portal that a case was finally registered on May 9.

This case not only exposes dangerous lapses in medical responsibility but also the indifference shown by authorities toward a grieving family. A dentist conducting a complex medical procedure like hair transplantation without transparent credentials is deeply troubling.

At the same time, equally alarming is the police’s reluctance to act until pressure was applied through higher channels.
